This side yard accessory dwelling unit accompanies a mid-century modern main residence in west Austin.  From the main home the ADU appears mostly solid, clad a rough face limestone.  Upon entry floor-to-ceiling windows open up the space, blurring inside and out.  A continuous built-in cabinet runs opposite housing a kitchenette, anchored by a bold, graphic backsplash, murphy bed and small cabinet.  A completely white bathroom features skylights above that let dappled light wash the blank walls.  The space is small yet completely efficient and capable of housing guests for long festival weekends.
