MGD’s first hospitality project in East Austin is all about connecting the energy of the kitchen to guests in open dining room and out onto east sixth street. The existing CMU building had low ceilings and narrow openings. As part of the remodel, the roof structure was raised and large custom steel windows inserted to open the dining space to the street. The exposed steel fascia and windows are painted a shade of pink, “shrimp salad” softening the typically cold material. Mexican influences throughout the interior compliment the food and complete the guest experience. Suerte is a Michelin Guide listed restaurant.
